This is a producer who believes no two vintages should be alike and because of her decidedly hands-off approach in the cellar, Paola Riccio's wines candidly reflect the conditions, time and place of their origin. A rare find from Italy’s regionally diverse viticultural landscape and the product of prolonged skin contact with no sulfites added, Privo L’Eretico from ALEPA, made from 100% Pallagrello Bianco grapes marks a new qualitative benchmark in natural wine.

Anciano
Drawing on centuries of winemaking history, our wines are crafted in the rural heartlands of Spain where rugged landscapes, ancient soils, and ideal climate provide the perfect conditions for growing vines. Our local winemakers are experts in harnessing the natural advantages of these conditions to produce bold, rich and expressive wines with a uniquely Spanish character.
Our grapes are selected by local winemakers from the outstanding vineyards of Calatayud, Valdepeñas and Valencia. Fermentation, blending, and maturation of the wines is under the guidance and protocols set by our consultant winemaker Norrel Robertson, MW. In the Spanish tradition, Anciano wines spend time in oak barrels to add complexity and character.
Our oak aged Tempranillo wines come from Bodegas Navalon which is surrounded by the ancient vineyards of Valdepeñas in the rural heart of Spain. The bodega has been the passion of the same local family for several generations. Our clasico Garnacha wine is from the Mediterranean coast, near Valencia. Our Old Vines Garnacha expresses the dramatic terroir of Calatayud, in the northeastern region of Aragon.
Each region has its special characteristics and the various soils define the unique character of each of the wines: The name Valdepeñas (Valley of Stones) refers to the special soil, strewn with pebbles and larger stones which soak up the sun’s rays during the day and release their heat under the Tempranillo vines at night. Gnarly old Garnacha vines in Calatayud have deep roots to extract water from layers of chalk and clay during the intense summer heat. The land is very different in Terres dels Alforins, a fertile valley in the south west of the province of Valencia and is called the “Valencian Tuscany”. Here the young Garnacha vines ripen beautifully.

Ànima Negra
Founded in 1994, Ànima Negra is the winery of reference for authentic, personal and quality wines from the island of Mallorca. Its alma maters are Miquel Àngel Cerdá and Pere Obrador who have been taking their philosophy of conceiving wine around the world for more than 25 years.
The Ànima Negra winery , located in the southeast of the island of Mallorca, produces its wines in the old “possessió” of Son Burguera. This building, near Felanitx, dates back to the 13th century and from the beginning had facilities for the production of wine, initially intended to supply the consumption of the people linked to the place. This activity has survived continuously until today and has contributed to shaping the island landscape, geographically integrated into the Mediterranean, and making wine an emblematic product of our gastronomy.
Vineyard cultivation, with advances and setbacks, and with an important or secondary role for the economy, has become part of our culture. Today's winemaking work does nothing more than perpetuate an ancestral activity; and it is in this context that, in 1994, Ànima Negra was born .

Argiolas
Argiolas is the foremost wine estate on the island of Sardinia producing archetypal wines from native varietals. Antonio Argiolas, who died in 2009 at the age of 102, inherited seven acres of vines from his father in 1938 and was the first on the island to convert to modern viticulture to pursue quality over quantity. His sons, Franco and Giuseppe, replanted the vineyards in the 1980s with the goal of reducing yields and focusing exclusively on Sardinian grapes. Athenee Importers & Distributors
Athenee Importers, established in 1975, is the largest importer and distributor of fine wine, spirits and beer from Greece and Cyprus in the United States. We believe that the future of Greek wines lie in the hands of the small producers. In the past 20 years, the Greek wine industry has undergone tremendous change. Initially, the Greek wine market was controlled by large wineries that produced wines for the mass market with very little attention paid to quality. As a result, Greek wines were not a strong presence in the marketplace and earned a bad reputation. As a result, the trade suffered greatly. In order to rectify the situation, industry leaders recognized the need for change. The next generation of Greek wines would lie in the hands of small producers who keep an eye to quality while closely guarding quantity.

Barone Pizzini
Franciacorta is marked by a long and deep sense of place. It references both a place of origin in name (Franciacorta is Italy’s first sparkling DOCG) and a method of production, metodo classico, where second fermentation occurs in bottle. The hills surrounding Lake Iseo form a glacial amphitheater, and it is here where the bubbly wines of Franciacorta were widely prized and consumed as early as the 13th century. Since 1870, Barone Pizzini has captured the area’s long cultural significance to help shape both Franciacorta’s legacy and contemporary character. The winery is a keen observer of their land, developing thoughtful farming models that have propelled the estate at the vanguard of their region.

Bila-Haut
The Roussillon history is complex and compelling, and has at times been quite violent. Terraces on stony soil, with a rich geological background and a climate that man has adopted for his crops. The Roussillon was bound to attract Michel Chapoutier’s attention. He decided to locate his domain at Latour de France. Black and brown schist to give the wine a solar touch. Gneiss for minerality and freshness. Combination of Limestone and chalk for strength and balance. Three varieties of grapes grow on the land covered by Domaine de BILA-HAUT. Syrah, with its savage aromas of scrub and spice. Grenache, so full of surprises. And Carignan, for mineral wines with crispy tannic notes. The "Vignes de BILA-HAUT" and the “Domaine de BILA-HAUT Occultum Lapidem” are the main expressions of this terroir.

Buil & Giné
Joan Giné was the founder of Buil & Giné. He and his grandson, Xavi, who has since taken over the winery, started making their first wine, Giné Giné, in 1996. Buil & Giné is based in Gratallops, the core of the D.O.Q Priorat where they own 200 acres of beautiful llicorella soil and terraced vineyards. Their oldest vineyards were planted in 1908. Their vineyards are 45% Red Garnacha, 30% Cariñena, 10% White varietals (White Garnacha, Macabeu, Viognier, and PX), and 15% other red varietals, like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. Joan Giné pioneered and founded the wine cooperative with the goal of preserving the terroir and culture of the region.
Joan Giné believed in “Traditional Viticulture, which is growing vines organically. Following the path he set-out, they do all work 100% organically. Buil & Giné started the organic certification process for their vineyards in 2014 and will have all properties certified by 2021.
They wanted to utilize the winery and vineyards as an opportunity to share their way of life, a life centered around wine. The wine displays the character of the local grapes, the minerality of the soil, and is extremely enjoyable.
More than 15 years ago, they were able to purchase a vineyard in Toro (Pago del Oro), and in Rueda, each producing one single vineyard wine for each of those DO’s

Cascina Montagnola
Terrestoria has found a natural partner in Donatella Giannotti, one of the world’s few vintners who produce wines from the Timorasso grape. Native to the Tortona Hills, an area known in antiquity as Derthona, Timorasso came close to extinction as recently as the 1980s. But thanks to indie wineries such as Cascina Montagnola, this fascinating, if often laborious, white grape is making a resounding comeback. And Cascina Montagnola’s bounty does not stop there.
This southeastern corner of Piedmont also happens to display stunning vocation for other varieties. Two of our favorites—Rodeo Barbera from post-war era vines which is an epiphany for anyone who thinks that Piedmont is defined by Nebbiolo alone, and the exquisitely balanced Sornione late-harvest Sauvignon Blanc which now available at state wine stores.

Castell del Remei is located in Penelles (D.O. Costers del Segre, Spain). The castle where the winery is located was built in 1780. By the 19th century, they had 988 acres of local grape varietals and were the first Catalan winery to sell “aged wine” on the market. They received their first award in 1887, the gold medal at the Brussels International Expo. In 1902, Castell del Remei established a guide for their workers on how to care and provide for the vineyards (Manaments pels Mitgers). It is a reflection of their admiration and respect for the vineyards, soils, and consistency of the vineyard work. Castell del Remei is the 4th oldest brand in Spain.
Castell del Remei manages 345 acres of vineyards. Their vineyards have; Tempranillo, Garnacha, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The average age of the vines is 20 years old, while some Garnacha’s are more than 40 years old.
The vineyards are located at 2,000 feet above sea level and the soil is mainly calcareous, (chalky) but includes some limestone. There is marked diversity of the soils in the estate that contributes to the enormous wealth of nuances typical of Castell del Remei wines.

Castello di Neive
Castello di Neive and the surrounding 150 acre estate are owned by the Stupino family, siblings Anna, Giulio, Italo, and Piera. The Castello di Neive winery began when Giacomo Stupino, the family patriarch, capitalized on his experience as a surveyor and his knowledge of the area to purchase favorable vineyards and land whenever possible. In the small cellars of their family home, the Stupino’s began their first wine production (including Messoirano, Montebertotto, Basarin, Valtorta, and i Cortini) and, over time, their acquired vineyards grew with the family’s production and ambitions. In 1964 the family purchased the castle with its spacious cellars, along with more land and farmsteads in Santo Stefano and Marcorino. This marked a turning point when the Stupino’s were able to renovate the castle cellars and reorganize their vineyards to produce wine according to modern methods. When Giacomo died in 1970, Giulio and Italo oversaw the transition from tenant farming to direct management of the land, initiating production and export of Castello di Neive wines abroad.

Château Pech-Latt
In the 12th century, the monks of the Lagrasse Abbey began to exploit the land of Pech-Latt. Initially a place for growing cereals and raising livestock, traces of an exploited vineyard were found there as early as 1634. This culture will become the main one from the beginning of the XXth century. In the town of Lagrasse, Château Pech-Latt is located in the heart of the Corbières appellation in Languedoc-Roussillon, ideally located between land and sea. Pech-Latt, in Occitan "top of a wide hill", in reference to the vast hilly expanse over which the domain extends, is located in a natural cirque surrounded by hills and scrubland, at an altitude of 150 meters, at the foot of the Alaric mountain. Due to its geographical location, the domaine benefits from an exceptional terroir that allows it to maintain a coolness on its soils, thanks to the foothills of the surrounding hills and mountains but also to the winds that sweep the region. Pech-Latt covers more than 400 hectares, including 160 hectares of vines, 90% of which are classified as AOC Corbières. The main grape varieties of the region are grown here: Carignan, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre. In the 1970’s, Château Pech-Latt stopped using chemical weed killers. Then, in the 90s, it was one of the first vineyards in France to be certified organic, right from the beginning of this label. This philosophy of respect for the earth, the vines and the people is an integral part of the DNA of Pech-Latt. It is a way of preserving this wild Eden which is offered to him but also of magnifying this true gem of the Corbières. Based on its heritage of several centuries, Château Pech-Latt is now entering a new chapter in its history. A renewal that relies on men and women driven by the ambition to develop this unique terroir in the heart of the Corbières.

Château Suau
Located in the appellation of Cadillac-Côtes de Bordeaux, Château Suau is a remarkable vineyard whose origin dates back to the 16th century. Former hunting lodge of the Duke of Epernon owes its name to Messire de Suau who owned it in 1687. The castle, reworked in the 17th century by the Suau family which will give it its present appearance, becomes the property of a Bordeaux wine merchant at the end of the 18th century. The chateau has been owned by the Bonnet family since 1986.
Under Monique Bonnet’s leadership, Chateau Suau has undergone an organic conversion and is today one of the few wineries in the region to be certified organic. Alejandro Bulgheroni became the majority shareholder in 2014, while Monique Bonnet, and her American husband Tom Kenney, continue to run the day-to day. Consulting vigneron, Michel Rolland and his team bring their expertise to the vineyard and the cellar.
The 66 hectares vineyard is spread over 58 hectares of red grape varieties and 8 hectares of white grape varieties, extending over the hillside bordering the right bank of the Garonne. The vines dominate at 100 meters of altitude on one of the highest points of the appellation Cadillac-Côtes de Bordeaux. Exposed south southeast, they benefit from ideal sunshine and natural drainage. Vineyard planting in high densities (from 5000 to 7000 feet per hectare) over a mix of clay and gravel soils.

Chiara Condello
Chiara Condello - Le Lucciole was born from the awareness of being a keeper of a wine growing history that was written and handed down for hundreds of years in the Predappio hills and by my desire to give a revolutionary interpretation to this unique, generous land. I work following a concept: I would love to produce a wine that express the high potential of my land, releasing it from all the things that are not essential. A Sangiovese that returns exactly my ideas of winemaking.
I have chosen a little piece of land close to a forest, in the heart of the appellation Predappio, in between 150 and 300 meters above sea level. Here the vines are deeply rooted in a poor calcareous-clay soil which is rich in pliocenic sandstones called Spungone. Here 3 million years ago there was a sea, and from here I started working to produce a wine that is the expression of this uniqueness.

Colombo
Like many of the wonderful pleasures in life, Marsala was created by accident. The fortunate mistake can be traced back to British sea merchant, John Woodhouse, in the 1700s. Traveling to the port of Marsala in Sicily, Woodhouse became enamored with the local culture and more specifically, the local wines. Naturally, he endeavored to bring a few barrels back to England, but the trip would be long and he feared the wine would spoil. To combat spoilage, Woodhouse decided to add a bit of brandy to the barrels to fortify the wines.
The fortified Marsala wine Woodhouse shared with his family and friends became very popular. So much so, that he returned to Sicily for more barrels and began its mass production and commercialization. Marsala wine soon became a staple in thousands of kitchens worldwide.
Today, Colombo Marsala is the #1 selling imported Marsala wine. It is steeped in the heritage of Sicilian wines. The company’s vineyards, located in western Sicily slightly inland from Marsala, produce the highest quality Grillo, Inzolia and Catarratto grapes. The grapes are harvested for the wine, which is then fortified with select wine brandy for a distinct Marsala flavor.
Try America’s best-selling imported Marsala wine beloved by both professional and home chefs across the nation.

Damilano
The Damilano name carries with it more than 100 years of winemaking history in the heart of Italy's most dynamic, competitive, and prestigious wine zone; Barolo. Damilano is one of the oldest wineries in Barolo, dating back to 1890, when Giuseppe Borgogno started cultivating grapes and producing wine from his own vineyards. Giacomo Damilano, the founder’s son-in-law, took over the winery operation in 1935. Giacomo grew the business, and improved the general quality of both the vinification system and the vineyards, turning the winery into a “jewel” of the Langhe area. The results of his hard work were passed down with great pride to his grandchildren Paolo, Mario and Guido in 1997: they gave new vigour to the family company and they are still working to maintain and improve quality in the vineyards. The Damilano name stands, not only for longevity, but for top quality. Aside from their world-class vineyard holdings, the Damilano family operates a Michelin-starred restaurant in La Morra.

E. Pira E Figli
Chiara Boschis is widely recognized as one of the first women producers in Barolo, though her family has a long history (nine generations) of winemaking. In 1980, the Boschis family (of Giacomo Borgogno e Figli) acquired the E. Pira & Figli estate, procuring some of the most prestigious land in Barolo. After graduating, Chiara became involved full-time in the family business, following her own great passion for the world of wine. As the only woman in a group of young winemakers credited with revolutionizing the area’s winemaking in the 1980’s, Chiara affectionately became known as the “Barolo Girl.” Chiara officially took the reins in 1990, bringing her unique combination of dedication, charm, patience and determination to every aspect of production in order to raise the quality and image of the winery to that which it enjoys today. In 2010, Chiara’s younger brother Giorgio joined her, contributing 30 plus years of experience both in the vineyards and cellar.
Chiara is an artisan grower, whose philosophy is to craft wines that combine the extraordinary power of Barolo with approachability, balance, intense aromatics, and elegance. This equilibrium is achieved through strict vineyard management (all work is carried out manually), careful selection, organic farming practices and meticulous vinification techniques that favor a gentle touch, allowing the grapes to express their true character. Chiara is a farmer first. She then unites the best of traditional and modern winemaking techniques in a continuous endeavor to consistently produce high quality wines representative of their heritage.

Fat Bastard
Good friends Thierry (renowned French winemaker) and Guy (British wine industry rebel) created FAT bastard almost by accident. It started out as an experiment Thierry had going in the back of his cellar, leaving a barrel “on the lees” (yeast cells). He didn’t know what to expect, but when he and Guy tried the wine, Thierry exclaimed, with a strong French accent, ”Now zat iz what you call eh Phet bast-ard!” This very British expression perfectly described the wine’s wonderful color and round, rich palate, so that’s what they named it. In 1991, Véronique Torcolacci obtained her degree in oenology from the University of Toulouse. She joined Gabriel Meffre as oenologist in charge of quality before becoming head winemaker.

Kumusha
Tinashe Nyamudoka is a Zimbabwean immigrant bon vivant and gleeful rule-buster. Where he grew up, there was no commercial wine culture and the vast majority of the population had little or no cultural connection to wine drinking.
He began his love affair with wine in 2008 working as a waiter at The Roundhouse Restaurant in Camps Bay, Cape Town. Tinashe discovered that wine could be as intellectually and historically complex as a painting or literature, here began the evolution of his own taste, inspiring him to obtain a diploma from the Cape Wine Academy.
His role as head sommelier at The Test Kitchen nurtured the skills that would later allow him to launch Kumusha Wines. He completed the Michael Fridjohn win judging course and became a regular independent wine judge in South Africa, and even had the opportunity to sit on a jury at MUNDUS Vini, Germany and Wine2Wine, Italy. He then received his certificate in Wine Business Management from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business. Along the way a friendship formed with Attie Louw, a winemaker from the family estate Opstal in the Slanghoek valley. This lead for the opportunity for Tinashe to blend his own wines, and in 2017, Kumusha Wines was founded. The brand now has a worldwide presence and is exported to the USA, Zimbabwe, Kenya and the Netherlands.

La Spinetta Piedmont
Founded in 1977 by Giuseppe (“Pin”) and Lidia Rivetti, La Spinetta was first known for their production of excellent single-vineyard Moscato d’Asti wines. After several years they introduced the typical red Piedmont varieties Barbera and Nebbiolo to the production, the beginning of what was to become a great adventure. In just over thirty years, through the acquisition of carefully selected vineyards and dedication to excellence in all aspects of production, the La Spinetta brand has reached the apex of quality and recognition around the world, producing a wide range of wines, appreciated for their inimitably approachable and voluptuous style.
The philosophy behind each La Spinetta wine stems from attentive and assiduous work in the vineyards and complete dedication to indigenous grape varieties. The Rivetti family is continuously striving to produce the purest expression of territory, wines that are firmly rooted in tradition, crafting approachable, yet age-worthy wines from their three different estates: the original La Spinetta cellar in Castagnole delle Lanze, Campé in Grinzane Cavour, and Casanova in Tuscany.

La Spinetta Tuscany
The addition of the contemporary Casanova Estate to the La Spinetta family came about as the result of a challenge between Giorgio Rivetti and a Tuscan colleague. Giorgio, convinced of the indisputable value of indigenous grape varieties, often found himself criticizing his Tuscan winemaking counterparts, not being able to comprehend why producers were replacing beautiful, historic Sangiovese vineyards with young international varieties like Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, in the name of appealing to a global taste market. One of these producers challenged Giorgio to action, and hence the search for old Sangiovese vineyards began.
The first Cru vineyard, 100% old vine Sangiovese, was acquired near Casciana Terme (Pisa) in 2001. In that first vintage, grapes were harvested and transported in refrigerated trucks from Tuscany to the Castagnole Lanze winery in Piedmont, for the production of the first 10,000 bottles of Sezzana 2001. The wine was a success, proving that La Spinetta had indeed met the challenge! In the meanwhile, another family friend in Tuscany had continued the search for additional Sangiovese vineyards and so, in 2002, the Rivetti’s purchased the 4-hectare (just under 10 acres) Sassontino Cru vineyard and the surrounding 50 hectares (123 acres) of land, yet to be planted and full of potential.
Construction of the third winery, Casanova, between Pisa and Volterra, began in 2004 and is now the production site of the prestigious Sezzana and Sassontina Riservas (old vine Sangiovese wines released only after 10 years in the cellar) and a line-up of distinctive wines crafted from the indigenous Tuscan varieties Sangiovese, Colorino and Vermentino.

LAN
Since 1972 LAN has striven for and delivered wines faithful to their origin, produced with grapes from long-standing suppliers with vineyards in the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa as well as our own Lanciano vineyard.
Lanciano is a symbol of our identity that is both a wine and a vineyard. The Lanciano vineyard is one of Rioja's most spectacular settings, in a meander of the River Ebro. Our wine, Viña Lanciano, is an homage to this vineyard, and in this wine you can taste our philosophy and expertise.
This unique terroir is home to the legendary Mantible Bridge, a colossal construction raised by the Romans in the 2nd Century and was crossed by Charlemagne himself. Two of the arches remain and are used as an illustration for the Viña Lanciano, label.
One of our winery's most important elements is our spectacular barrel cellar, with a stacking, racking and ageing system which is one of its kind. Distinctive pyramids of American, French, Russian and our unique pioneering "hybrid" oak barrels contain future gems.

Longridge Wine Estate
At Longridge we honour the age old organic traditions by looking down into the earth, making sure there are no harmful chemicals or toxins in the ancient decomposed granite soils, or in the fresh mountain waters running down in cool underground aquafers from the Helderberg slopes that gently envelope us, securing us with the majestic Helderberg Mountain as our backdrop, from too much wind. The cool Maritime breezes from the Atlantic ocean drifts in as morning mist, ensuring our vineyards are enveloped in a cool blanket to protect them from the heat of the day.
With a complete holistic view to winemaking, we work alongside nature , never forcing the vines in a direction but rather letting them guide us, allowing them to show their natural terroir driven character. We make use of ancient technology and knowledge, concentrating on using natural wine making techniques to produce our award winning wines.

Los Dos
Los Dos is Spanish for "both" or "the two." Like two dancers coming together to create the perfect dance, Los Dos celebrates the intricate steps in the dance of winemaking. It starts with the vine finding a perfect partnership with the soil. Lubanzi Wines
In the spirit of this adventure we returned to South Africa in 2016 endeavoring to launch a business that would connect people back home in America with a country and a people we had both been so struck by, and deliver some seriously top notch wines in the process. Together, we spent months in South Africa sourcing and developing our wine; We met with over 40 producers, ranging from small family run farms to large co-ops (independent growers banding together across huge regions), to wine negotiants and independent winemakers to source wine that could be part of what we were trying to build: a young, innovative, and socially responsible wine brand built on the concepts of collaboration & exploration, with a 'locally run, globally minded' mantra. We found those partners in our winemakers, Trizanne Barnard & Bruce Jack, & our designers, Fanakalo, who became friends and collaborators, and who have helped bring LUBANZI to life.
Charlie Brain & Walker Brown, Co-Founders
We felt it necessary the business be an avenue to deliver real and meaningful social impact back to a country so deserving of that commitment. As things kicked off, we became enamored with the idea of a more complete and equitable supply chain, which is why we partnered with The Pebbles Project, a not for profit that provides health & education resources directly back to the families who live and work on South Africa's wine farms.
Lubanzi is the story of those partnerships, of our travels, and of this wandering dog in the middle of nowhere, who by some stroke of luck, brought it all to life. We hope our wine helps you make a home in the newest places, & an adventure out of the home you know by heart.

MacRobert & Canals
This is the project of the family that was formed when Bryan MacRobert turned up one day in Rioja to join the Canals family. We are thus MACROBERT & CANALS. It may come as a surprise to see the union between an oenologist born in Cape Town and a family whose members come from the most diverse corners of Spain (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Madrid, Tarragona) and have been living in La Rioja for over forty years (where the youngest members are now from).
The initial beginnings of this union started many years ago, even before Bryan took his first steps – letting him explain it in first person:
“My earliest childhood memories are of running barefoot through the vineyards of the farm that my parents own in the Swartland region of South Africa about fifty kilometres north of Cape Town where I was born. It was there that I learned to cultivate the vineyards and make my first wines, while studying Viticulture and Enology at the University of Stellenbosch. After graduating, I spent several years travelling between Spain and South Africa, working in the Priorat and Swartland wine regions, areas of old bush-trained vines and without irrigation. These are fixations that I keep in order to obtain wines of the quality and personality that I dream of.”

Australia is an island and Australians love the coast. Our spectacular beaches frame the Australian Way of life. Our shores are expressions of who we are. Whether swimming, snorkeling, surfing or sailing, Australians know the ocean, respect it and love it. We also love our ocean roads. Scenic, winding, cliffhanging coastal arterials cling to the coastline and bring us to the water. To experience them is to bring a tear to the eye of the most hardened road tripper. Think the car window down, the briny breeze, the blue sea, the distant horizon and the aromas of the ocean enlivening the senses with all its natural beauty. Ocean roads are avenues to nature of Australia, which is why we named our wine after them. Like our coastal roads, our wines are shaped by the terroir, influenced by the ocean and deliver an experience unrivalled. Welcome to the coastal world of Ocean Road wines; and a memorable trip of taste.

Père Jules
Le Père Jules is located in Pays d’Auge, the heart of the Normandy region.
In 1919, Jules Desfrieches, just back from the First World War, pressed and sold his first bottle of cider. In 1949, Léon Desfrieches took over his father and renamed the Cidrerie...Le Père Jules. Léon's son, Thierry, joined the family business in 1976. Guillaume, his son, in 2002. Nowadays, Guillaume runs the cidrerie and manages the cidrification process. Le Père Jules works only with apples and pears from the estate. Out of 250 acres, 100 are planted with apple trees and 25 with pear trees. They follow organic principles and let their 100 cows go freely on the property, so they provide natural fertilizer. They produce an average of 100 000 bottles of cider a year.

Piattelli Vineyards
At Piattelli we institute a low-volume process which means we focus on the quality of grapes over quantity. When the vines support less grapes, they become healthier and this establishes a rich flavor profile. Pico Maccario
Pico Maccario is a Barbera specialist located in the town of Mombaruzzo in the heart of Piedmont’s Barbera d’Asti DOCG. Brothers Pico and Vitaliano created the Pico Maccario brand in 1997 following four generations of selling the family grapes to other producers.
Pico Maccario, the eldest brother, devotes himself to the production of the wine while Vitaliano handles the commercial aspects of the business. 8000 rose bushes planted at the end of each vine row are both the symbol of the winery as well as a traditional indicator of vine-threatening diseases. Pico Maccario’s winemaking style is to respect the true varietal character of Barbera, delivering wines with focused, clean aromas, and balanced, pleasant acidity. These are very complete Barberas, that are as versatile and enjoyable, as rich and satisfying, in pure Piemontese tradition.

Poggio Scalette
Poggio Scalette takes its name from the landscape, which is characterized by dry, stone walls supporting terraces on which the vineyards and olive groves are planted. From a distance the impression is of a series of stairs climbing the slopes of Greve. After the death of its previous owner, Poggio Scalette remained abandoned for years until Vittorio Fiore, one of Italy’s most famed winemakers, discovered the property in 1991 with his wife, Adriana. In 1996, 42 additional acres of land became available, enabling them to expand. It was discovered that the plot of land known as Il Carbonaione was the first area to be replanted after World War I (1914-1918), which means these vines, more than 90 years old, are a rare example of the original clone of the famous Sangiovese di Lamole variety in the Chianti Classico area.

Poquito
A sunny day. A friendly smile. Your perfect playlist.
It’s the little things in life that matter, and Poquito is all about celebrating them - lightly sparkling, refreshingly fruity wine in a small bottle. Just pop the top and live a little…
Lightly sparkling, fruity and uplifting, Poquito is small in size but big on taste. Delicate floral aromas combine with a sweet yet refreshing palate of ripe peaches, pears and apricots. Enjoy Poquito chilled as an apéritif, or if you’re feeling creative, mix with ice, lime, mint and a dash of rum to make a deliciously zesty Poquito Mojito.
Poquito is made in the sun-kissed coastal region of Valencia, Spain, but here’s a little secret…our ‘Spanish’ winemaker is actually a Scotsman, known in the bodegas as “El Escocés Volante” (The Flying Scotsman). Norrel is the only Master of Wine based in Spain, and he works hand in hand with local winemakers who specialise in producing the very best Moscato wines.

Prats & Symington
In 1999 the Symington family formed a partnership with the Prats family of Bordeaux to make top Douro wines. The first Prats & Symington wine was Chryseia 2000 which received widespread national and international acclaim. Since then Chryseia and its second wine, Post Scriptum, have consistently appeared amongst the most highly rated Douro wines.
Chryseia was the first Portuguese non-fortified wine in the Wine Spectator’s annual Top 100 Wines and has now appeared three times in this influential list. In 2014 Chryseia 2011 was ranked at number three in the Top 100, the highest ever placing of a Douro wine. In addition to Chryseia and Post Scriptum, Prats & Symington also make Prazo de Roriz, a red wine produced from younger vines. In exceptional years, very small quantities of a Quinta de Roriz Vintage Port are produced.
Prats & Symington wines are made at one of the Douro’s greatest estates, the beautiful Quinta de Roriz. This historic vineyard dates from 1565 and has long been famous for the quality of its wines. The 103 acre Roriz vineyard is complemented by the 56 acre Quinta da Perdiz in the neighboring Rio Torto valley. Quinta da Vila Velha owned by James and Rupert Symington, directly adjoins Roriz and some of its best grapes are also used to make Chryseia and Post Scriptum.

Prior Lucas
Prior Lucas produces wines from the Bairrada region of Portugal, from vineyards that grow in an ancient limestone sea bed, made of calcareous clay soil filled with ammonite fossils that stretches all the way through the region of Champagne. The winemaker and owner, Rui Lucas, founded the winery in an effort to recover and protect the vineyards and winemaking tradition of his own family that had been lost in previous generations.
Prior Lucas is a winery that is truly an exercise in passion, care, and a desire to preserve those things that are truly valuable that are left to us by generations of our ancestors. Rui Lucas is concerned not only with making excellent wines that are worthy representations of the historic region from which they come and preserving his own family winemaking history, but also with being a good neighbor and steward of that tradition within his entire community.

Priorat Natur
Priorat Natur was founded in 1997, by Xavier Buil, his wife Anna Cuadrat, and their partner, under the philosophy of making handcrafted local Priorat products and selling them around the world.
According to ancient writings, Vermouth was invented by Hippocrates, a famous physician of antiquity, born in 460 BC. He macerated flowers and leaves of wormwood dictamo in wine, obtaining what in the middle ages was called, “Hippocratic wine” or simply “herbal wine.”
The grapes used for this Vermouth comes from two different farmers, with a total of 2.8 acres of vineyards, and are grown practicing organic methods. Vermouth has been the aperitif par excellence in the Priorat region for nearly 100 years.
The initial white wine is made from Macabeo, Pedro Ximénez, and White Garnacha. It is vinified by being in contact with the grape skins, giving it more aroma, and a pale golden color. A small amount of caramel is added giving it the desired sweetness and it is macerated with aromatic herbs: fennel, rosemary, cumin, cinnamon, and vanilla. The wine is then aged a minimum of two years in old oak barrels, where it obtains the desired aromas and its characteristic amber coloring.
After one year, a small amount of the young white wine is added to the barrel of “old” Vermouth, where it rests for another year before being bottled. Bottling is done in small quantities at a time. This ensures that the minimum age of the Vermouth is two years.

Quinta de Chocapalha
Originally acquired in the 1980’s, the 110 acres of nearly abandoned vineyards discovered on the estate dated back to the 16th century; the family immediately embarked on an investment program to replant and regraft the vines with the thriving varietals of the area, both indigenous and international. In 2000, the new plantings had reached optimal maturity when Sandra Tavares, the youngest daughter made her first debut as a winemaker, passionate and eager to produce wine with only the best grapes found on the estate.

Quinta de Roriz
Quinta de Roriz is one of the oldest and finest estates in the Douro, well-known by the end of the 17th century, and was in the hands of the van Zeller family for much of the 19th and 20th centuries. Roriz was one of the first Ports to be bottled and shipped under the name of the quinta itself, and this continued into the early years of the 20th century. Through the 18th and 19th centuries, the leading London wine merchants paid premium prices for Roriz Ports and there are numerous records of the high values obtained for the Quinta’s wines at Christie's fine wine auctions throughout the 19th century. After some years of joint ownership and management with the van Zeller family during the first few years of the 21st century, the quinta and the name were acquired outright by the Symington and Prats families in 2009.

Quinta do Vesuvio
Quinta do Vesúvio is situated far upriver in the Douro Superior, 74 miles from Portugal’s Atlantic coast and only 28 miles from the border with Spain. The Quinta’s special reputation for producing outstanding wines goes back into the nineteenth century, when the Viscount of Villa Maior wrote, “All this wine is made scrupulously and to perfection… this Quinta was made as if for princes…”
Vesúvio has a total area of 326 hectares (806 acres), of which 133 hectares (329 acres) are planted with vines. The rest, almost two-thirds, has been conserved in its natural, wild state. Many other things grow at Vesúvio besides vines: oranges, lemons, figs, almonds, walnuts, grapefruits, pomegranates and many more exotic fruits and herbs.
Vesúvio also has great variations in altitude, from 426 feet at the riverside to 1,739 feet at the top of the ridge. Being so far in land, the Quinta experiences climatic extremes, reaching very high temperatures in summer and very low in winter. It is extremely dry, with an average of only 400mm of rain falling each year.
Vesúvio specialises in making remarkable Vintage Ports and Douro D.O.C red wines. The Symington family, the leading family of winemakers in the Douro Valley, personally makes all Vesúvio’s wine. The nineteenth century winery is one of the largest in the Douro and one of the last places on earth where grapes are still trodden by human feet, according to a time-honoured art, practised for centuries, millennia even.

Smith Woodhouse
Christopher Smith, Member of The British Parliament and Lord Mayor of London, founded a small company to ship Port from the Douro in 1784. The Woodhouse brothers joined in the early 19th century and the name Smith Woodhouse was established. By the end of the 19th century their Ports enjoyed a strong reputation. Like so many shippers, Smith Woodhouse fell on hard times in the aftermath of the Second World War, and the shipper was sold to a London based wine importer, whilst the wines were supplied by W & J Graham’s. In 1970, when the Symington family bought Graham’s, they acquired Smith Woodhouse as well.
As a niche name with limited production, Smith Woodhouse is not as well-known as most of its peers, but among Port connoisseurs it is eagerly sought. In major blind tastings of all the Ports declared in Vintage years, critics consistently pick out the Smith Woodhouse as extraordinarily good and extraordinarily good value.

Suavia
It probably would never occur to the Tessari Family to concentrate on anything other than Soave and its two native white grapes-Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave. The name Suavia harkens back to the pre-modern day references to Soave. (The Svevia-later Suavia-were a Germanic tribe that settled in this part of northeastern Italy after the fall of the western Roman Empire.) Vineyards have been in the Tessari hands since the late 1800's, but it wasnt until the early 1980's that the family redefined what growing quality grapes could be-tying clonal selection to site-specific areas, lowering Garganega's prodigious yields, and making the wines in tune with the terroir. Rigorous clonal research into the two white varieties has resulted in mono-varietal examples of each, both grown on pure extrusive basaltic ( black volcanic) soil; Monte Carbonare (Garganega) and Massifitti (Trebbiano di Soave).

Tohu
At the foot of snowcapped mountains, in the Awatere Valley of New Zealand, grow the grapes of the Tohu Winery, the world’s first Maori-owned wine company. Launched in 1998, by the indigenous people of Aotearoa, the company is committed to the tradition of kaitiakitanga, or guardianship of the region’s natural resources. This belief drives all production.
The Awatere Valley, where the vineyard is situated, is cooler, drier and windier than the rest of the Marlborough district where most vineyards lie. This causes Tohu grapes to ripen more slowly, resulting in intensely flavorful wines. This sub-climate has been very rewarding for Tohu. The company has earned high praise for its Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Méthode Traditionelle.
Prepare yourself for the robust flavors produced by this award-winning Maori winemaker.

Working primarily with the Montepulciano varietal, the Pizzolo family strives to make wines that highlight the grape’s intrinsic qualities: strength, exuberance, vitality, color, elegance, balance and depth. The process begins with the careful selection of clones that are best suited to Valle Reale’s soil and climate, and therefore best express the distinct characteristics of the varietal. Their success is evident in the young, vibrant DOC base wine, and even more so in the cru, a new benchmark for Montepulciano d’Abruzzo.

Volver
Our most prized asset is our heritage of vines between 30 and 90 years old, indigenous varieties cultivated in a sustainable way with minimal intervention.
The project of Bodegas Volver was founded in 2004 by Rafael Cañizares, enologist through studies and viticulturist through his family tradition of four generations bound to the vine and wine.
The pillars of the bodega are based on the repositioning of quality Spanish wines and recovering old indigenous vineyards which, either through low production or lack of generational succession, had been lost.

Weingut Lucashof
Owned by Christine Lucas, sister to Nik Weis, this estate produces outstanding Riesling from important vineyard sites in the Pfalz. This estate was established over fifty years ago and has a much warmer climate than the Mosel with different soil. The resultant wines tend to be drier in style with a little bit higher alcohol levels. It is located in the Rhine valley and protected to the North and the West by the Hunsrueck Mountains. That's what makes the climate there almost Mediterranean. The soil is heavier and less stony than in the Mosel. They don't have slate like in the Mosel, they have volcanic, glacial and river sediments. That's why the wines are not as mineral but due to the warmer climate more full bodied than the wines in the Mosel. In general they have less acidity and more of a roundness. The flavors of their Rieslings are more on the peachy side than on the grapefruit side, as they are in Mosel wines. The current vintage release of this wine is 2018 with 2019 coming in October. All wines made from Organically farmed grapes!
