Gus Magann, President CWE:

Gus is responsible for all operating and management concerns for the company along with restaurant training, wine list and wine dinner development.  He is  a Certified Wine Educator through the Society of Wine Educators.  Having passed his California Sate Wine Judges Exam at UC Davis, Gus also serves as a judge at annual wine competitions. He has been accepted into and is currently pursuing the Masters of Wine Degree. Before joining Vine Lore, Gus was a restaurateur with an educational background in Career Culinary Arts and a Masters in Business Administration.

Tracey Thompson

Vice President~Sales & Marketing

Tracey works in tandem with Gus in all areas of client relations: securing new brands, maintaining distribution, planning depletions and navigating the complex system of the state controlled distribution system. Ms. Thompson also develops and manages marketing and public relations strategies and is responsible for increasing sales and brand awareness. She is particularly attuned to market saturation and has created education programs that help direct consumers toward Vine Lore’s premium brands. 

With over 20 years of management experience, Ms. Thompson has been involved in launching new restaurant concepts, designing and implementing operating procedures, and supervising staffs of up to 50 employees.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, she is a member of Local First Utah, Slow Food, and Society of Wine Educators.

Tony Magann, Controller:

Tony has twenty years experience in top management for a $400 million newspaper company where he was responsible for developing and implementing a strategic plannig process and financial analyses procedures.  Tony is the owner if Magann Management LC, a consulting company specializing in financial & management issues for small companies.  He brings strategic planning, analysis and financial expertise to the organization. Tony has a Masters of Business Administration from Arizona State University. 

 Gina Magann, Sales
Gina is responsible for on-premise and off-premise sales. She just completed her BS in Psychology from the University of Utah and plans to continue on to her MBA in Wine at Sonoma State University.  Her passion for wine, on-premise background, and organizational skills make her a wonderful asset to our company.

 

Lindsey Powers, Sales

Lindsey is responsible for on and off premise sales in the Park City territory.  Her extensive knowledge of food and wine in combination with her strong background in customer service and  restaurant management adds greatly to the strength of the Vine Lore team.
